A Meanigful Gift that I have received

Well, the most meaningful gift that I have received would be 20 dollars that I got from my cousin on my birthday. This gift was meaningful because at the time she did not have enough money to get through the month but she still thought of giving something to me for my birthday. When I got the money, it almost made me cry. This is why those 20 dollars were the most significant gift that I ever got.

Sometimes I take things too seriously

Hmmmmm, well I actually do not take things too seriously in any occasion. I like to give each thing its particular level of inportance. When something is really important, like a final exam, I take it very seriously. When it is not, like a friendly soccer game, I do not give it much importance if I win or lose. It is all about learning how to identify each situation with its seriousness level. In that way I consider myself as with having a good temper.

If only I had listened.....

One time I was going to have a math test on a Monday. Since Friday afternoon my mother told me to begin studying in order to have a good grade on the test. I ignored her. On Saturday I spent all day playing videogames and watching television with the pretext that I would spent all day studying on Sunday. Sunday came and I decided to begin studying. However, when I woke up my mom made me do household chores in order to help her. "Damn!", I thought. Well later on when I was finally free from my mother's grasp, I decided to study. To my unpleasant surprise, my uncles decided to pay us a surprise visit right before I began studying. I had to stay there and wait until 9:30 P.M. in order to have some free time for studying. Finally, with a little free time in my hands and slumber on my eyes, I began studying for the math test.

The following day, I came to school worn out for having to stay up late studying for math. I couldn't study that well because my eyelids kept getting in the way. Supposedly I was going to review in the bus but instead I fell asleep. The only time that I could review was during the first two periods before the test, but I still had many doubts. It was test time and I wasn't ready. The teacher gave us the 15 problems that we had to do for the test. I was in trouble. Out of the 15 problems that he gave us, I could only do 13. And I was sure that out of those 13, I could only have about 9 correct. The next day, I got the results of my test. Lucky for me, I got a B-. If I had only listened to my mom, I would've gotten an A. Still, it was a pretty good grade.

Suicide Bomber and Ferderer's Australian Open

In Baghdad, Iraq, a suicide bomber wearing a vest jammed full of explosives attacked a police recruitment center and killed at least 65 people and wounded 160 others. This attack was staged at a checkpoint where hundreds of people wait for their turn to enter the center. The Tikrit's general hospital was packed full of people who needed immediate medical attention. This was called by Vice President Tariq Al-Hashimi a "cowardly act" and Iraqi Prime Nuri al-Maliki wants to get to the bottom of the incident, which he calls the latest of similar "heinous crimes." -CNN.com

In other news, Roger Federer was untroubled in his first match at the Australian Open. The results against Slovakian Lukas Lacko were  6-1 6-1 6-3 on the Rod Laver Arena. Federer said to the official Autralian Open website: "I thought I played great. I'm obviously very happy". Poor Lacko, playing against the world's number one in the first round.

My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie I would have to say is "The Hangover", starring Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, and Justin Bartha. This movie is a great comedy about four guys that decide to go to Vegas because one of their friends is getting married 24 hours later and decide to throw a stag party. They wake up at the next day, having no idea of what the hell happened the day before and having lost the about to be wed.

This is my favorite movie so far because it is so darn funny. So many bad , random, funny things happen to the protagonists that it was very hard for me to stop laughing at them. The sequel hasn't been released yet but I sincerely hope that it will be at least as good as the first one.

My Favorite Song

My favorite song is Love is Gone (Joachim Garraud and Fred Rister Remix) by David Guetta. This song is my favorite because the few lyrics that it has are very true and because the beat is awesome. The sounds are very sticky and if you listen to it the most likely thing that will happen is that every now and then you will be singing the song or at least humming the rythm.

"♫What are we supposed to do, after all that we've been through. When everything that felt so right is wrong, now that the love is gone...♪" That was just the first four lines of the song. Joachim Garraud and Fred Rister made a really good song even better by introducing their great beats and sounds that I'm sure that you will love.
